New project

Well, I picked up a new piece to refinish yesterday. I am intimidated and excited at the same time by this one because I have never done upholstery work before, but for 30$ I couldn't let it go. It is solid walnut. The gentlemen that I bought it from says he has more stuff like this that he will be selling soon...
I am thinking about a forest green velvet for the fabric...I will have to see what is out there.

Winter Wonderland concert

Ben and his JK class put on a Winter Wonderland concert on Friday. Very cute.

Congratulations to Q and U

Ben's JK class put on this really cute "wedding" for the letters Q and U. It was to teach them that when Q is in a word, U always follows. They also sang all the songs they have learned this year (39!)

Today I learned how to blend photos. This one is from Kyle and Britney's wedding.

The Kiss

This was taken from the flight deck of the USS Midway. I didn't expect to be in San Diego this week, but I was asked to go on Monday when I got to work to help out some of our colleagues from our US office. San Diego is a beautiful city...one of the few places that I have travelled for work that I would actually like to go back to.

PS I like the kid underneath...getting an eyeful!
